Les Oursins (The Urchins) ont été créés à l’occasion pour la iLight Marina Bay à Singapour dont le thème en 2017 portait sur le biomimétisme et la durabilité.
« Ce projet s’inspire des coquilles d’oursins, qui sont fermées mais légères, délicates et ouvertes. Leur surface texturée et perméable interagissant avec la lumière crée une ouverture, tandis que la répétition mathématique du motif apporte un rythme et une harmonie visuels. A contre jour, la forme naturelle des oursins révèle l’un des motifs les plus spectaculaires de la nature« .
Nous aimons le contraste entre la nature et l’environnement artificiel, entre les gratte-ciel masculins solidement ancrés et l’objet féminin flottant.
Aux Vases Communicants, nous sommes fans des travaux d’aiguilles, quelle que soit la forme qu’ils prennent.
